Shrewd Stewardship
The more available you are, the more God will do. There's nothing my God can't do - but the only thing that limits what God can do is us - Our availability. What we allow Him to have of us.
Here's a hard truth: People in this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own stuff than they are with eternal things. We're more calculated, more clever, more astute when it comes to our careers, our finances, our plans - things that will ALL pass away - than we are about building God's kingdom.
You are a manager of God's stuff. That time you think is yours? It's His. That talent you have? It's His. That money in your account with your name on it? It's His. Everything you think is yours belongs to Him, and He's entrusted it to you to manage for a little while.
One day we'll stand before Jesus and give an account of our management. Every moment, every word, every act of obedience or disobedience since we accepted Christ - it's all recorded. And I want God to say one thing: "You were always faithful."
So here's the question: Are you being shrewd for earthly things or kingdom things? Because you can't serve both. If He's not Lord of ALL, He's not Lord at all.
The money system we stress about will pass away. The things we build will crumble. But eternity is forever. While you have time, talents, and treasures - use them for what really matters. Build friendships that will open doors in heaven. Invest in souls that will last forever.
It's time for a shift. Time to get shrewd for the kingdom that will never pass away.
